CAREER INTENTION
I would like to become a Specialist in a sub-specialty of General Medicine.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE


• General medicine: experience in managing common medical emergencies; care of inpatients; managing
outpatients in the outpatients department; investigations and therapeutic procedures. I also participate in an on-
call rota in an acute intake capacity.

• Teaching skills: tutored medical students during my house job in Nigeria. I have also been recently involved
in the evaluation of prospective PLAB 2 candidates by being an examiner in the mock PLAB 2 exam held for
them at various times at PLABWISE, Manchester. I also participated as an examiner in a mock exam arranged
for final year UK medical students in Manchester, to help them in their preparations for their final exams.

• Management/leadership skills: During my time as a Medical Officer in the Nigerian Prison Service, I was
privileged to be the leader of the health team as the only attending physician in the clinic. My duties involved
coordinating the clinical as well as the administrative duties together with the other medical and paramedical
personnel.
