The Leda-Vannaclip Group is one of the largest

producers of high security industrial gates in Australia.

Crash Gate

We manufacture a broad range of gates with varying

degrees of security and performance levels. Standard
models range from the medium security swing gates
to high security cantilever gates. All models may
be completely integrated with other Leda-Vannaclip
perimeter security equipment like bollards, tyre
spikes, road blockers and boom gates to enhance
security levels.

Gates are effective access control devices. When

used in conjunction with high security bollards, gates
contribute towards reducing the impact of attacks
where both vehicles and insurgents are used together
to breach perimeter defences.

Sliding Crash Gate was
successfully tested using
SAP 2000 (Version 9)
software.
The analysis showed that a 7 tonne vehicle travelling at
80 km/h and striking the gate at a height of 0.7 metres is
safe in that only limited plastic hinges are formed and the
maximum deformation of 14mm would have allowed the
gate to continue to function without repair

Drive motor is 3-phase brake motor, 0.55kW,

to 1.0kW 100% duty cycle with adjustable
opening and closing speeds. Limit and/or
proximity switches are used for position
sensing.
Features a manual override system in the event
of a power failure.
Controlled via a purpose-built control board, or
optionally by a PLC.
Flexible control boards and PLC units are
used, allowing linkages to a range of peripheral
applications like safety inputs, alarms, strobe
lights etc.; depending on client requirements.
Standard system may be interfaced with most
types of access control systems.
High speed retracting ability; achieving up to 1
metre per second gate speed.
