Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination is carried out by

JCECEB Board to elect and choose students in order to offer them chance to
go for further education for various courses which are available in various
universities of Jharkhand. Large number of students appear every year for

Eligibility Criteria
Must be Indian citizens, residing in Jharkhand. Also must have passed
his/her 12th grade with the subjects Physics and Math as compulsory subject
along with Chemistry or Biotechnology.

to appear for the final examination of the 12th grade can also apply but s/he

Question Paper Pattern

There will be two examination for JCECE, preliminary and final, Both the
examination will be on different day and for each question paper, it will be

Physics: Topic Areas> Classical Mechanics, thermodynamics, law of motion,

work and Jules calculation, power and energy calculation, System of Particles
and Rigid Body, Kinetic motion, distance calculation, kinetic theory,
electromagnetic and alternating current, magnetic effects, Friction and flaw
of motion electronic Devices, radiation, Kinetic Theory, Oscillations and
Electrostatics Electric Charges, Current Electricity, Magnetic Effects of
Radiation and Atomic physics.

Chemistry: Topics Area> in this division of JCECE 2016, the topics that
including molecular structure, thermodynamic, chemical formula and
composition, preparation and properties of acids/alkalis, organic chemistry,
electro chemistry, general principle of isolation, Nucleic Acids,
Thermodynamics, molecular structure chemical bonding, thermo chemistry,
nuclear chemistry, structure of solid, gas phase reaction and oxidationreduction reaction.

Mathematics: Topic Areas > Trigonometric Functions, Algebra, simple

compound interest related calculation, Binomial theorem, Coordinate
Geometry, Calculus, Limits and Derivatives, Mathematical Reasoning,
Statistics & Probability, Relations and Functions, Matrices, Determinants,
vector calculation, relativity and complexity related calculation, quantum

Exam Pattern

There will be two papers - Paper 1 and Paper 2. Paper 1 will be held in both
the modes online and offline. The online mode is termed as Computer
Based examination. The offline mode is termed as Pen and Paper Based
examination. The applicant has to select which mode s/he wants to opt for.
Paper 2 will be held only in the Pen and Paper mode.

Paper 1 is for admission into B.E. or B. Tech. Paper 2 is for admission into
B.Arch. or B. Planning. Paper 1 includes the subjects of Physics, Chemistry &
Mathematics. Paper 2 includes the subjects Mathematics, Aptitude Test and
Drawing Test.

The questions asked will be objective type questions.

Candidates those who clear the final examination will be selected for the
counselling so that they can get the courses in desired college according to
their rank.

Application Form

Candidates can download JCECE Polytechnic application form 2016 along

with the prospectus on or before last date from its official website.
Application forms are also available at the GPOs, Main post offices and other
sub-post offices in the state Jharkhand.

You are need to fill their application form correctly and paste their recent
passport size photograph on its. Candidates have to put their signature in
the given box and must mention their exam center and correspondence
address.

Finally then must be send form via registered post or speed post along with
receipt of fee to below given address. Availability of Application form will be
in 2nd week of March 2016 onwards.
