handicrafts market in South India, then you should head for the coastal

from the fringes of the Anjuna beach and moves inwards towards the vast
agricultural fields. Anjuna Flea Market gets organized on every Wednesday
with around 5000 + voluntary sellers who participate in this weekly fair.
Originally started by the hippies of the 70s generation, now the market
caters mainly to the souvenir & handicrafts buying instincts of tourists &
travelers. The Anjuna Flea Market is open from early sunrise to late sunset.
One can start shopping as early as 8am in the morning and the market winds
up a little after 6pm in the evening. Not to be missed shopping activity for all
tourists.
2. Saturday Night Market - The original creator and pioneer who started
out this night market was none other than Ingo. The German Guy, Ingo came
to Goa and decided to set up the now famous Saturday Night Bazaar.
Sometimes also called as Saturday Nite Bazaar or Saturday Nite Market or
Ingos Market or Arpora Night Market. So he went up to an old Goan family
with a big house and sprawling grounds in Arpora and got them to lease the
land to him for the bazaar activity. The idea caught everyones attention and
this Saturday night market has been the most successful multinational
enterprise in Goa for the past 7 to 8 years. Presently its the landlord and
Goan Mr. Clive who is successfully running the night market. On for about 3
months of the winter months, it brings an eclectic bunch of traders from
the ubiquitous Rajasthani and Kashmiri vendors of India to all hues of
foreigners hawking stuff from handmade shoes (nice) to variegated trinkets.
The market starts at 4pm and by 8pm the place gets pretty crowded and
there is a nice beat going.
