David Gaa, ofm, was here at Mission San Miguel on Tuesday, May 17th. He met with a large group of our parishioners to explain the changes that will be occurring here, at
Mission San Miguel, in the months to come. So that everyone is informed with the correct information, I have inserted the letter that Father David handed out following
Tuesdays meeting in todays bulletin.

from our Ministries Faire was the start of a Prayer Chain.


These wonderful Prayer Warriors will be praying not only
for those listed on our bulletins sick list but will also be
available to pray for those special needs that may come up in
our lives. An example may be someone that lost a job and
would like prayer to help them find another. It is confidential
(you may use only first names if you wish) and also bilingual. Please call the Parish Office at (805) 467-2131 and they
will start the chain of prayer going. If you wish to be a
Prayer Warrior along with the others, please call the parish
Office as well.

Second Collection: Next weekend for Franciscan Missions.

Parish Office Closed: Monday, May 30, 2016 in observance of Memorial Day.
The Vaticans International Exhibition of Eucharistic Miracles of the World will
be at our Mission San Miguel Parish Hall on Saturday, May
21st from 4 pm to 9 pm and on Sunday, May 22nd from 8 am
to 8 pm. Come browse the exhibit highlighting 1,800 years of
Miracles and hear live presentations of miracle stories, scientific study and Scriptural basis for the True Presence after each
weekend Mass. Presented by: Faith Based Communications
and brought to us by the Knights of Columbus.

EUCHARISTIC MIRACLES:

Bulletin Ads: The renewal started April 1. Your help in


renewing or placing a new ad helps defray the cost of printing the weekly bulletin. Please call the Parish Office for more
information.

Our Annual Ministries Appeal: Annual appeal for

Pastoral Council Meeting: Our next meeting will be

the Diocese and for our Parish. Special AMA envelopes are
available on the table at the side entrance of the Church.
Anything over the diocesan goal of $10,300.00 stays in our
Parish for specially needed projects. Last year it helped pay
for the heating in our Church. This year we are in need of
outside lighting for the Church and parking lot. Our Parish
goal is to raise a total of $25,000.00. The amount that has
been pledged so far (as of May 9th) is $17,823.00. Thank

Teen Community Service: We will be having a


work day on June 4th from 9 am to noon at the Parish
Hall for those teens that wish to earn community service
hours. Pizza for all teen helpers afterwards. If you would
like to help, please phone or text Susan at (805) 441-1243.

Shared Parishes Class (So That They May All


Be One): A new class will be starting soon. Please call the
Parish Office if you are interested in participating. It is very
educational and interesting for everyone!!

RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation): This Ministry


will begin in August. If you are missing any Sacrament; Baptism, First Communion, Confirmation, Marriage, please call
the Parish Office to schedule an appointment with Fr. Pedro.

Fiesta Meeting: Was very successful last Thursday,


May 19th. With several members of our community attending, new ideas were discussed. I am very proud and
thankful for your participation. I hope to see more people attending. Help me make this Fiesta another memorable one to help our Mission. The next meeting is
scheduled for Thursday, June 16th at 7pm.

MISSION SAN MIGUEL

Youth Sports Day: To be held on June 11, 2016


from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm at St. Rose of Lima Parish located at 820 Creston Road in Paso Robles. Open to 12
18 year olds. Sports for the day will include basketball,
kickball, volleyball and dodgeball. Join your parish team
to play against neighboring parishes of St. Rose of Lima,
Mission San Miguel, St. Williams, Santa Margarita,
Mission San Luis Obispo, Nativity of Our Lady, St.
Timothys, Santa Rosa, Elizabeth Ann Seton, St. Pauls,
St. Patricks and St. Josephs. Registration begins at 8:30
am and is $10.00 per person which includes snacks,
drinks and BBQ lunch. You may pre-register before May
27 for a cost of only $8.00 per person. To register or for
more information, please call the St. Rose Parish Office

Pilgrimage to the Holy Land: Special 10 day Pilgrimage to the Holy Land will be offered over 2 different
departure dates. We will be departing Toronto Pearson
International Airport on November 6 thru November 15,
2016 and on February 7 thru February 16, 2017 at the all
land and air inclusive costs of $2699.00 in November
and $2669.00 in February. (Twin accommodations and
depending on the date you choose.) We will be visiting
Tel Aviv, Jaffa, Caesarea, Acre, Nazareth, Cana, Tiberius, Sea if Galilee, Tagba, Capernaum, Mt. Tabor,
