ACTIVITY
Sir Normel oriented us with the facilities and
what type of work they are doing in this branch
of pldt. PLDT FCIE covers 7 places which they
watch over.
REMARKS
PLDT FCIE does repair and
maintenance of their facilities.
Also, the company has different
zones, and each zones has their
assigned places to cover.
We learn how to read the
tickets and how to dispatch
people using their servers.
When the dp number is 4:5 it a
fiber and when the dp number
is 4:3 it is a copper line.
Two DP points are used but
with different type of readings,
one is with a fuse and the other
one has pins. But before a line is
tapped, the phone should be on
off hook state to make sure
that the clients not using the
phone.

Sir Norlee taught us how to use the IPMS.
REMARKS
IPMS is another system that the
PLDT used to assign the service
order of the subscribers.
IPMS only allow to assign for
the future service until 12 nn.

the number can call and receive
calls, the line is working.

Assigning service orders has
time deadline in which at 11 am,
all assigning for that day is
finished.
Some of the subscribers have
relocated and the technicians
cannot locate their new address.
There are some times that the
DP of a certain landline is noisy
or broken, so a new port is set
and a new UTAG is placed.

There are days that the SO are a
lot and some only few orders
are.
There are assigning that
specified people are asked to
install. These people are the
engineers of the company
There are some pairs that were
transferred to another slots due
to the pair is broken.

landlines that has problems,
either their number has busy
tones or it has noise.

their respective CBRs so the
technicians personally visits the
subs.

needed to install so that the
technicians may install the

There are some pairs that
doesnt have the same tip and
ring due to the noises it created
so they find another slot in
which it can be placed.

REMARKS
There are some RSOs that cant
be verified unless there are
acceptable reasons
accompanying it.
Doing the assigning are not hard
and the IPMS and clarity are
integrated with each other.
Jumping the wires or changing
their ports are not complicated
as it seems.
Doing their network should be
as accurate as it can be since it
is where their engineers get
their assignments and works.
