Synopsis:
A rural setting as the main location isn´t normal in the modern
black novel. We could say that the city works well for criminal
plots. However, like an exception that proves the rule, Andreu
Martín and Jaume Ribera take us on a trip to the Pyrenean
Mountains, to a lost town where a femme fatale, Sara Arigues,
needs the services of the irritable and loose-talking Mr. Biosca
and his detective agency in Barcelona. The agency puts Detectie
Ángel Esquius in charge of shedding some light on the dark plot.
Everything is told in a complex local dialect and in an abundance
of cinematic phrases taken word-for-word from films. This young
widow with emerald green eyes and long shapely legs is terrified,
fearing that she may be the victim of blackmail. Among the
motives—money, lots of money. Her deceased husband has left
her a significant inheritance that includes vast lands, which run
the risk of being reassessed as golf courses.
Intrigue typical to the rural world is splendid material to set the
story: envy, jealous rages, land disputes, mistrust, rightful

inheritances, promiscuity everywhere, lack of privacy and
anonymity, family hatred, land reassessment and ecological
theorizing… There are also two deaths, just in case anything was
missing.
9 788493 728373 A read that keeps us laughing despite the bloody backdrop of a
farfetched criminal plot.

“A good urban plot, where women command with a strong personality and ethical principles. It´s almost like a
classic Western, where one´s own merit wins over influence and favoritism. It´s ‘pure fiction,’ but what a treat it
was to read and even almost believe it! An original plot that takes you where you least expect it to. Luis Campo
is a clear successor of Vázquez Montalbán. I loved it.”

She has also tried her luck in politics. She ran in the 2001

based on two main points: more public spending (that
included free breast implants and parking) and liberty
(basically more nude beaches).
As if that weren´t enough, Katie Price has also found her
vocation in writing and is the author of a series of children´s
books as well as novels for adults. Her characters in the latter
are enterprising modern women that live their personal
disappointments, happinesses and successful days in the
business world.
For some, she´s scandalous. For others, she’s an example of
the classic beautiful woman. And as well as being a
businesswoman, she is the international center of attention.

Bestselling author Robin Maxwell:
“No one captures the immediacy and rich detail of the ancient world
quite like Michelle Moran”.
Synopsis:
The novel The Queen´s Gambit (from the Leonardo da Vinci
Mystery series) retakes the typical chess move and applies it to
the ongoing investigation. The story takes place in Milan in
1483, in Ludovico Sforza's castle and the workshop of Leonardo
da Vinci, who is at the service of Count Sforza. One of the
teacher’s apprentices, named Dino, discovers the body of
Sforza's cousin by accident.
The recreation and use of Leonardo da Vinci's inventions to
solve the mystery are just one more incentive to read this book
with a well-written plot, intelligent humor, rhythm and
simplicity. It has well-devised twists and appropriate surprises to
capture the readers that love the genre, from the first line to the
last.
