CSR
Corporate Social Responsibility was define by Lord Holme and Richard Watts as the
continuing commitment by business to behave ethically and contribute to economic
development while improving the quality of life of the workforce and their families as well
as of the local community and society at large.
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is a duty of every corporate body to protect the
interest of the society at large. Even though the main motive of business is to earn profit,
corporates should take initiative for welfare of the society and should perform its
activities within the framework of environmental norms. Four areas that are commonly
covered in CSR reports are Environment, Workplace and Employee Health and Safety,
Supply Chains and Community.
AEON is committed to achieve a sustainable society with stakeholders, based on their
basic principle of Pursuing Peace, Respecting Humanity and Contributing to Local
Communities, Centred on Customers.
While Petron aimed to be a stronger company whose presence also translates to
education, environmental preservation, safety and security, and help for the needy.
Petron pride themselves in taking care not only of their host communities but also their
own people as well.
