•17 years of managerial and maintenance experience in assisted living/nursing homes and
apartment complexes.
•Mechanical versatility in construction, HVAC, electrical, paints, chemicals, lubricants,
tools and other materials used in building and grounds maintenance work and mechanical
trades.
•Thorough knowledge of maintenance repair, alteration and construction procedures and

PROFESSIONAL ACCOMPLISHMENTS
•Responsible for maintaining buildings, facilities and equipment in an operating and
functional condition ranging from 96 apartments to a 330 bed nursing facility.
•Direct and conduct preventative maintenance inspections and perform required actions
utilizing a wide variety of hand and portable power tools. Resolve problems and refer
only the most complex issues to higher level contractors; participating in the development
and administration of maintenance, construction and/or service contracts.
•Provide supervision for 22 to 40 employees including training, work evaluation and
discipline; the methods, materials, tools and equipment used in the maintenance and
repair of buildings and allied equipment.
•Plan, organize, direct, assign, review and evaluate the work of others; select, motivate
and evaluate staff and provide training.
•Support safety practices to be observed in building maintenance activities; codes,
ordinances and regulations pertaining to the work; work layout and scheduling and
various other construction trades.
•Deal effectively with Director of Community Relations, Director of Admissions, State
Health and Safety Inspectors, facility residents, employees, other agencies and the
general public.
•Prepare clear and concise records, reports, correspondence and other written materials;
and exercise independent judgement within general policy guidelines.
