Vision/Organizing Image
Five years after its in place, the Silver King Tramway becomes internationally recognized as a fundamentally unique connection between a
mountain city and its surrounding mountain environment.
The Tramway becomes an international draw to the Kootenaysnot just Nelson. Its one of the pillars of the regional economy. Access, yes, but
also sensibility. It reflects what the place is about and the ethos of the people who live here.
Seen as something thats truly unique. Its not a resort. Its an arterial connection between the mountain-top and the valley bottom.
And everyone is involved in a multitude of experiences and activities that take place there that keep growing and evolving.
