Drumline with

A drumline that traces

its roots to the very roots
of indoor drumline itself
is coming to Lakefield.
The Kracker Jackson Drumline, a group
founded by the inventor
of the indoor drumline
itself, will be part of the
2016 Summerfest parade
next Saturday.

The goal is fun

Back in 1983, when
Dick Rausch, inventor
of the indoor drumline,
started the Kracker
Jacks Drumline with
the goal of having fun,
drumlines were mostly
involved in competitions.
Rauschs take on drumline fun has carried on
with the group now under the leadership of Joe
Lundy.
All around the world,
drummers pay thousands
of dollars to perform in
the most elite groups,
only to age out at 22,
Joe Lundy said. So Dick
started this group, which

We decided to change
things up for this years

and do something new,
said Kortney Nesseth of
the Summerfest planning
committee. The LBA
Summerfest Committee,
along with the Lakefield
Community Improvement
Program, decided to have
two new inflatables this
year a paradise slide in
line with our Summerfest
theme, and an obstacle
course. We will also have
a photo booth that night
that will be a new addition
to the activities people can
enjoy as well.
Miniature golf will return, along with a variety
of kiddie games such as the
fish and duck ponds, a ring
toss and the little train,
Nesseth said.
