Summer Reunion:

Sigma Pi Convocation:

Summer Reunion is the weekend of July 16th. We will be

having a golf scramble, luncheon, softball game, and
other get togethers.

Homecoming:
Homecoming is set for the weekend of October 29th.
We will be sponsoring a tent at Tent City. This is a great
place to gather before the football game and meet
brothers from different eras. We will have food, tables,
and chairs. Since Murray is now wet MSU allows
tailgating before the game and alcohol in Tent City.

Chapter Educational Fund News:

Our Chapter Educational Fund (CEF) has given away
$5,500 in scholarships since its founding. During
Homecoming 2016, the CEF gave scholarships to
undergraduates Michael Mann () and Aaron Rowland
(). Please help us continue this program by making a
tax deductible donation to our CEF. Donations to the CEF
are tax deductible and open to corporate matching funds
since SPEF is a 501(c)3 entity.

phone at (800) 332-1897 Ext. 888, or mailing a check to

Homecoming expenses as well as to assist the active
chapter with Rush and other needs. Please make checks
payable to the Kentucky Thoroughbred Alumni Club and
mail them to our Treasurer, Dakota Fields, 206 Stewart
Stadium Murray, KY 42071. You can also pay on PayPal

Housing Corp News:

Peter Dirks ()
won a Friend of
FarmHouse
Fraternity award.
Peter is a
recruiter for the
College of
Agriculture at
SIU-Carbondale.

Our Housing Corp has been looking for a house for the
past several years. They are having problems with
Murrays zoning laws which require an R4 zoned property
which is at least 15,000 square feet. There are not a
whole lot of those and Murray is not in a hurry to change
its zoning laws. An Alpha Sigma Phi alumnus bought an
incorrectly zoned house several years ago that he was
going to sell to his chapter for use as their house. They
still havent been able to get the zoning changed.
Making things more difficult is that Murray plans on
major changes to 16th Street which are boosting
property prices. The Housing Corp currently has a little
over $60,000 in its account. If you think you can assist us
please contact us at sigmapialumni@hotmail.com.

Other News:
Chuck Ries () is organizing a Sigma Pi Team for the
Spartan Race on Aug. 20th at Ft. Campbell, TN near
