Splintering Psalm

Jesus, my strength and my song

My inner man’s knowledge and wisdom
Resident hope of my life
To You, Jesus, do I give glory and honor
To You, Jesus, do I turn.

I have cast my cares upon You

Turn to me and care for me
I have relinquished my sin and laid myself bare before You
I do not hide from You
For You are the covering that I need.

Redeem and transform me

Your Word is a chosen agent of change in my inner man
O, that the roots of this change would be seen by actions
I have deeply entrenched my heart into your care
Come and care for me, lest I die from want of love which only You, Jesus, can provide.

Pain is my constant companion

Joy has not abandoned me
Hope runs through me
As light splinters into the spectrum of colors
It comes in waves and I am blessed when I see You, Jesus.

I am not alone.
