(Single Layer)
M/F Suspended ceiling, which includes GI perimeter channels of size 0.55mm thick (having one flange of 20mm and another
flange of 30mm and a web of 27mm) along with perimeter of ceiling, screw fixed to brick wall/partition with the help of nylon
sleeves and screws, at 610mm centres. Then suspending GI intermediate channels of size 45mm (0.9mm thick with two flanges
of 15mm each) from the soffit at 1220mm centres with ceiling angle of width 25mmx10mmx0.55mm thick fixed to soffit with GI
cleat and steel expansion fasteners. Ceiling section of 0.55mm thickness having knurled web of 51.5mm and two flanges of
26mm each with lips of 10.5mm are then fixed to the intermediate channel with the help of connecting clip and in direction
perpendicular to the intermediate channel at 457mm centres. 12.5mm tapered edge Gypboard (confirming to IS: 20951996:Part-I) is then screw fixed to ceiling section with 25mm drywall screws at 230mm centres. Screw fixing is done
mechanically either with screwdriver or drilling machine with suitable attachment.
Jointing & Finishing: Finally square and tapered edges of the boards are to be jointed and finished so as to have a flush look
which includes filling and finishing with jointing compound, Joint Paper Tape and two coats of drywall top coat suitable for
Gypboard (as per recommended practices of BPB India Gypsum),
Alternatively all square & tapered edge joints to be filled with Universal Board finish plaster & joint paper tape is embedded
to complete the first application. Finally 2mm thick Board finish plaster is applied on the entire surface of Gypboard to achieve
smooth & seamless finish. The plaster application shall be carried out with BPB T &T, as per the recommended specifications of
BPB IGL.

For Lighting fittings, grills, diffusers & cut-outs etc. have to be made with the frame of perimeter channels of size
20mmx27mmx30mmx0.55mm thick, supported suitably & should be considered and charged extra.
Angle bead to be used at external angles to get straight-line finish & protection from normal impacts. It should be charged extra.
Edge bead to be used to protect the exposed edge of Gypboard at the openings for tube lights or any other unprotected core.
It should be charged extra.
All steel sections shall be marked with GypsteelTM (registered trademark of BPB IGL) & Holograms.
In case of Board finish plaster application, three applications of jointing & finishing & two coats of drywall topcoat are not required.
Painting as per the required specifications should be charged extra.

layer of 12.5mm tapered edge Gypboard is screw fixed with 35mm drywall screws at 230mm centres as above but the joints are
staggered to avoid leakage through joints.

Providing & fixing false ceiling which includes G.I angle of size 0.40 mm thick having two equal flanges of 25mm long, screw
fixed to brick wall/ partition with the help of nylon sleeves & screws at 610mm c/c. Then suspending channel section of size
(0.40mm thick having a web of 45mm & two equal flanges of 18mm each with lips of 6mm made of GI steel) at 610mm c/c from
soffit with the help of fixing bracket (0.9 mm thick, 29.5mm wide &195mm long) fixed at 930 mm canters along the length of
channel section with the help of Rawl Plugs. 9.5mm/12.5mm thick tapered edge Gypboard (confirming to IS 2095 - 1996
PART-1) is then screw fixed to the channel section with the help of 25 mm drywall screws at 230mm centres.
Jointing & Finishing: Finally square and tapered edges of the boards are to be jointed and finished so as to have a flush look
which includes filling and finishing with jointing compound, Joint Paper Tape and two coats of drywall top coat suitable for

10.5mm are then fixed to the intermediate channel with the help of connecting clips and in direction perpendicular to the
intermediate channel at 457mm centres. 15.0mm Tapered edge Fireline board (confirming to IS: 2095-1996:Part-I) is then screw
fixed to ceiling section with 25mm drywall screws at 230mm centres. Screw fixing is done mechanically either with screwdriver
to drilling machine with suitable attachment. After fixing first layer of Fireline board second layer of 15.0mm Tapered edge
Fireline board is screw fixed with 45mm Drywall screws at 230mm centre as above, but joints are staggered to avoid leakage
through joints. Then tapered & square edges of the boards are filled & finished with Jointing Compound, joint paper tape
suitable for Gypboard as per the recommended specifications of BPB IGL.
Finally an expanded metal wire mesh of 18 gauge is secured in position on to the face of the Gypboard layer &12mm thickness
Universal Plaster is applied to give smooth seamless finish.

Provident & fixing GI Perimeter Channels of size 0.55mm thickness (having one flange of 20mm and other one of 30mm and a
web of 27mm) Screw fixed to the brick wall / Partition with the help of nylon sleeves and screws at 610 centres. Then
suspending GI Intermediate Channels of size 45mm (0.9mm thick with two flanges of 15mm each) from the soffit 1220mm
centres with ceiling angle of width 25mm X 10mm X 0.55mm thick fixed to soffit with GI cleat and steel expansion fasteners.
Ceiling Section of 0.55mm thickness having knurled web of 51.5 mm and two flanges of 26mm each with lips of 10.5mm are
then fixed to the intermediate channel with the help of connecting clips and in the direction perpendicular to the intermediate
channels at 297.5mm centres. 12.5mm thick Fultone/Louvertone/Cratone panels of size 595x595mm are fixed to the ceiling
section with 25mm Dry wall screws at 297.5mm centres in such a way that minimum 9 Nos. of screws hold the panels. Finally
the panels are filled & finished with the Jointing compound, paper tape and topcoat as per the recommended practices of BPB
IGL. 50mm thick glass wool shall be placed above the panels to get the required absorption.
