Think of the CORK inside a bottle of special pressurized alcoholic beverage ...
Shake it up and the cork holds it in place !
SO DOES WELDED CPP UNIT WITH OPEN PIPE AND WHEEL SHUTOFF VALVE
ANY ROV OPERATOR CAN CLOSE !
SAVING FLORIDA, GULF AND EAST COAST PLUS ISLANDS --- PRICELESS !
COST TO DATE WITH THE SPILL NOT SECURED AND BP PAYING FROM THE $350
MILLION DOLLAR INSURANCE --- ?
COST TO FLORIDA AND GULF STATES FOR LOSS OF INCOME FROM TOURISM
AND SALE OF ITEMS FROM THE GULF ---- ????
Now review --- all this could have been avoided by BP spending some $4,000.00
using Branko R. Babic or JET SWET idea on large pipe !
TOTAL COST INCLUDING ALL SUMMER FIGHTING THE OIL SLICK - ???????
PLEASE MAKE BP USE THE BABIC CPP WITH HOLLOW PIPE AND SHUTOFF TO
STOP THIS DISASTER !

Your reply is greatly appreciated. Perhaps you can also tell BP that the Branko R.
Babic CPP or CPP open tube with shutoff valve would stop the leak in 8 hours
from time of order from any welding shop with super heavy pipe and using the JET
SWET rubber compressed to interior of the 21 inch thick wall pipe then a ROV with
welder from USCG or USN if not BP CERTIFIED could weld the CPP with pipe into
the casing. Once welded the pipe could be shut off and attempt to change BOP to
full close made without pressure once Valve on welded insert is set.
See ATTACHED PDF for clues from an OLD WELDER and PLUMBING
CONTRACTOR IN FLORIDA.

Thank you for your submission of suggested mechanical methods for the recovery of floating oil. We
appreciate your concern and interest in mitigating the effects of the spreading plume of floating oil. The
technologies that you have suggested have been provided to BP for evaluation of their applicability for
mitigating the extent of floating oil.
Sincerely,

I really needed those 4 hours of sleep this afternoon in order to figure out a way to
save Florida harbors and beaches perhaps with OIL SKIMMERS and VAACUM
UNITS ON BARGES.
It would appear TIME to bring up OIL SKIMMERS which can possibly be used to
recover massive amounts of top and underwater OIL in shallow water near
beaches and whatever.
I would ask that you look back on the Internet GOOGLE SEARCHES to find those
entities who PATENTED IDEAS which will remove OIL on surface. My favorite
method was using barges with VACTOR TRUCKS used GIANT VACUUM HOSES
AND SUCTION to suck out LIFT STATIONS. Barges could be fitted with several
super powerful FIRE PUMPS perhaps to aid in suction of water.
The oil and water contents would then be dumped into barges where CONVEYOR
BELTS WITH SPECIAL ABSORBENT MATERIA TO CAPTURE OIL YET ALLOW
WATER TO FALL THROUGH AS IT HIT ROLLERS CAPTURING THE OIL IN SUPER
QUANTITIES. OIL could be separated and water put back into the marsh or other
areas.
SEE PDF’s and CALL ROTO ROOTER or a lift station company to see a VACTOR
TRUCK SETUP WITH VACUUM HOSE AND HOW IT CAN BE MODIFIED TO SUCK
OIL ON A BOOM LOWERED TO A SPECIFIC DEPTH then see about SAND
SEPARATION OR MAKING EFFLUENT RUN OVER A CONVEYER BELT WITH
WATER GOING THROUGH FINE MESH AND ROLLERS SQUEEZING OIL OUT
COLLECTED ON BARGE AREAS THEN PUMPED TO OTHER BARGES PERHAPS.
I personally would like to see a special wide funnel where the water is sucked in
perhaps 8 feet wide and 2 feet deep in CALM WATER to suck in the OIL AND
WATER then have the conveyor do it’s trick then when the OIL section of the barge
was getting full MOVE THE EMPTY BARGE behind the VACUUM SYSTEM and keep
moving in shallow or deep water with the option to lower the collection nozzle
WIDE LIKE A DUSTPAN inserted in front of the barge propelled or pushed with a
small boat or TUG .
Check it out ! EPA MANUAL SHOWS SOME IDEAS ! GOOGLE OIL SKIMMERS
AND BUILD YOUR OWN PERHAPS !
Classic examples are provided and can be modified remembering that perhaps
BELTS made of even FLORIDA SPONGES OR OTHER BELTS OF MATERIALS
SUPER ABSORBENT can be used then rollers deposit OIL in the examples given
which will allow WATER to fall off into the Gulf.
