She is |awa'e of the strategies that have worked in the past and has adapted these well when dealing with challenging behaviour Ye: Take 5 approach Kerr haa demonstrated on several occasions her ability to organise and plan activities to sult the needs of all ne students. Her lexpectations and directions have developed further over the course of the 3 weeks and she is able to proviee clear and [concise expectations of the students, She is viry 200d ar giving positive and supportive feedback when addressing students fon their performance or behaviour. She has a range of questioning skills ¥o engage all students into the discussions or ‘conversstions. ‘Comment on the teacher education student's planning and implementing of effective teaching and learning Kerri has developed a number of good teaching strategies to support her delivery of her lessons to the students. She has. ‘developed a terrific rapport with the students over the three weeks and has been able to engage the students to improve ‘student learning. She has worked with a ‘challenging writing group’ who require a lot of support to get their ideas dawn on [paper The goal was to teach the students how to write an ‘explanation’. Each lesson she had engaged the students to allow {hem time to develop a greater understanding of writng an explanation text including al the relevant features. Kerri has modified the lesson to suit her audience and is developing a range of strategies to Support the growth of this group. Each lesson, Kern demonstrated a range of teaching strategies to bring the group back together when she needed to re-group /eg clap once if you hear my voice, clap twice if you hear my voice otc. She continues to look at ways she can modify her lessons to ensure the students are having success. ‘SUMMARY COMMENT: has been a pleasure to get to know Kerri over the past three weeks. She is very mature, responsible and professional and | ‘know she will make an excellent teacher Korn has demonstrated on numerous occassions her abilty to show initiative and willingness to be flexible within our schoo! ‘environment. She has developed a lovely rapport with the students and staff within the Bridging Centre. She has gone above and beyond in several lessons and is fo be congratulated on the way she has conducted each lesson in a postive and supportive learning environment. When required, Kerri has demonstrated that she is able to reflect on her lessons {va constructive and professional manner. | wish her all the best as she completes her final year of study and I'm sure she will have no problems finding a job at a school she wishes to work at.
