o I thought that if we did the plot worksheet it would help to enforce the
ideas about setting/plot that we discussed earlier, but if this is too
easy, or too much emphasis I selected some questions as well that
they could do instead
Work to complete the comprehension questions at the end of the
reading, and then answer questions 3,4, and 8
o What is your judgment of the narrators treatment of Doodle?
o What is your opinion of Doodles character?
o Can love and cruelty exist at the same time? Why or Why not?

Writing Exercise: (30 minutes)

Poem describing Doodle

o Doodle is an interesting character, so I thought it would be
interesting to see if they could creatively think about a poem
that could describe one of his attributions or problems that he is
having

Discussion: (not sure if we will have time, but I thought the setting of
their lives would be appropriate to talk about)
