LESSON I
WARM UP 15
Group Dynamics: Whole class interaction
Material: Poster, flashcards.
The teacher will do the date routine but in a different way. She will
bring a poster in which they have to select the correct day, date, month
and also the weather. She will ask them to select a number from a bag
and once they have done it, she will search through the roll the kid that
takes that number. That student will be in charge of selecting correct the
date and the weather.
Then, under the title of colourful body, she will stick some
flashcards on the board which contain pictures of the parts of the body
and a colour below. She will say to her students that they are going to
play a game. She will ask them to stand up and whenever she says a

certain colour they have to touch the part of their body that represents
that colour.
If the students do not know the vocabulary, the teacher will hand
in a copy containing the lexical items and the picture representing them.
The teacher will hand in the following copy containing the

The teacher will ask the students if they like cartoons. Then, she
will present the topic by using the blurred images of some characters
from the students favourite cartoon series.
PRESENTATION
OF THE LESSON
She will stick the blurred images on the board and ask the
students to guess the characters.
Once they have discovered them, she will stick the characters on
the board with their physical description.
SYSTEMATIZATION

The teacher will read the description and will isolate the new
lexical items. Then, she will ask the students to guess the meaning. She
can help them by using opposites and drawing in the board or even
gesturing.

The students have to take out the handout with the character they
have invented the previous lesson and, based on the information they
have provided, write a description of it.

Materials: Poster, mystery box, realia.
The teacher will do the date routine. After that, she will play a
riddle to her students, but a special one, a riddle with clues from a
Mystery box. These clues are realia connected with three cartoons they
see on TV.

The teacher will ask the students to open their booklets on Unit 4
The Bullies Strike Again. She will ask them to read the title. Do you
know what a bully is? The students will probably associate it with the

word bullying. Then, she will ask them to look at the picture and guess
what the dialogue is going to be about.

The teacher will ask the students to read the dialogue. Once they
have done it. She will make emphasis on the word sad doing a
reflexion on how the character, Pedro, feels.
Now, the teacher will present other feelings using some flashcards
containing emojis and the emotion they represent.

INTRODUCTION

She will show the students the title of the short-story How to deal
with bullies. Superhero style. Then, she will ask them what they think a
bully is. They will probably associate the word with the term bullying.
Now, she will divide the board in two categories: bully and
superhero. Then, she will take some flashcards with good actions and
bad actions, she will ask the students where they should be placed, she
will ask a random student to come to the front and stick the flashcard in
the correct category.
Then, they will classify the bad actions according to the following
categories:

Materials: Short-Story, MP3 sounds (cell phone)
The teacher will present the story by playing a drums sound and
saying Its story time!. She will start telling the story and showing big
sized pages of the book. She will also use sound effects to make the
story more interesting for the kids.

the to draw a comic strip in which they have to represent a certain
bullying situation using the verb the teacher will provide them (e.g.
teasing) plus a feeling.

and watch a video.
The students will listen to the Demi Lovatos song once. The
teacher will write three possible titles on the board, and the students
have to guess which the correct one is.

have to put in the correct order while listening to it. The teacher will
play the song twice. Then they will check the answers together.
