Maintenance Manager, Graham Packaging Company,
Vicksburg, MS
In this position, some of my tasks were: scheduling preventative
maintenance work orders, ordering parts and supplies, controlling
costs in monthly and year to date budgets, manning and production
scheduling, shipping scheduling, submitting applications for capital
expenditures and following projects to completion while staying within
budget. I occasionally took care of accounts receivables and payables
along with payroll. I also worked with our customer on quality issues
and led the plant maintenance and safety teams. Along with these
tasks, I was involved in the tasks included in the next two job
descriptions below at this same plant.

Sept. 1996-Dec. 2000

Maintenance Supervisor, Graham Packaging Company,
Vicksburg, MS
I supervised six mechanics over three shifts and kept the necessary
parts in stock to repair hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and
mechanical equipment. I program and troubleshoot PLC’s. Hold
monthly safety meetings. Control costs on monthly maintenance
budget.

June 1992-October 1996

Maintainer/Team Leader, Graham Packaging Company,
Vicksburg, MS
Repaired equipment associated with extrusion blow molding. Jan
1995--- Began as shift leader of the second shift. Responsibilities
included the safety of employees, quality of the product, productivity,
and working with the customer (Shell Lubricants) with quality and
production issues. Other areas of experience: welding, cutting,
machining parts, troubleshooting AC/DC drives, 3 phase electrical
circuits, photoelectric controls, installing and aligning couplings,
sprockets, timing belts, shimming and spacing bearings. I’ve also had
SPC training.
March 1980-May 1992
Inspector, Marathon LeTourneau Company, Vicksburg, MS
Machine shop/welding inspector. I am familiar with all aspects of
machining from the drawing to the finished product. Programmer and
operator of three axis coordinate measuring machine. I am
experienced with the layout and visual inspection of light and heavy
welded structures. Some of the tools I have used are: inside and
outside micrometers, surface roughness checker, vernier calipers,
optical comparator, steel hardness checker, transit, automatic level,
paint thickness gauge, and involute machine to check the helical angle
of gears.
