Connection Spotlight is meant to
showcase an instructional strategy
used to make new connections in
learning in the classroom. Dr.
Marcus was selected by CTL based
on feedback from students and staf
for creating a learning environment
full of rich questions and feedback.
One of the ways Dr. Marcus provides
clarity and enriches discussion is
through Poll Everywhere. He polls
multiple times during lectures, waits
45 secs to 60 secs when he asks a
question, and provides
opportunities for class discussion to
apply learning during the lecture.
Dr. Marcus uses the formative data
collected during class to provide
feedback or make instructional
changes during the lecture. When
