1.- One-syllable adjectives add er/est (fast faster/fastest)

2.- One-syllable adjectives ending in cvc double the last consonant and add er/est (big bigger/biggest)
3.- Two-syllable adjectives ending in y transform the y into i and add er/est (happy happier/happiest)
4.- Two-syllable adjectives ending in er/w add er/est (clever cleverer/cleverest // narrow narrower/narrowest)
