The Singapore Pocket Opera Theatre (SPOT) is the creative effort of
young individuals who would like to touch, connect, and inspire people through the stories told with music. Founded in 2016, SPOT is an ensemble that aims to bring pocket-sized music productions and concerts around the little red dot. With its team of classical singers, instrumentalists, composer and playwright, SPOT seeks to journey with its audience, to help them experience reflections of themselves and find themselves in todays highly inter-laced society. The ensemble launched its first season with a well-received pocketsized recital at the Esplanade in March and recently participated in the international music and arts project Play Me, Im Yours, presented by The Playtent & Singapore International Foundation. They have since performed for Project Dignity, Singapore River Fun Festival and the Intimate Encounters Series at the Theatre Lounge Caf in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
