BEC 301 REINFORCED CONCRETE DESIGN

JUNE SEMESTER 2008

PROJECT ASSIGNMENT

QUESTION
Design a multi-storey RC building using the typical floor plan. The building should have the following specifications: There should be minimum of 3 floors, i.e. the ground floor GF, first floor 1F, and the roof floor RF.
Brickwall load should be included for the building.
Use concrete grade 25, high yield bar for the main reinforcement, and mild steel for the link.
The design output should include the beams, slabs, staircase, columns, and footings. All beams, slabs, staircase, columns,
and footings should be reasonably sized and are safe.

Evaluation:
1. Esteem Calculation 20%
2. Individual Manual Calculations 10%
