500 mg acetazolamide slowly via indwelling intravenous cannula (Check re sulphonamide allergy)
500 mg acetazolamide (not SR) stat by mouth if not vomiting (maximum effect at 2 h)
g. Carteolol 1% b.d. if no contraindication
g. Predsol 0.5% q.d.s.
Analgesics and anti-emetics as indicated
Patient to lie supine for 1 h
After 1 hour
