Awarded in November 2010, the

South Arne project uses the Subsea 7
bundle system to develop and expand the
existing South Arne field into two new
well head platforms.
Subsea 7 was awarded this Engineering, Procurement,
Installation and Commissioning (EPIC) contract in November
2010 by Hess Denmark ApS. The contract, for South Arne
Phase 3, is for the installation of a flowline bundle system
connected to the two new wellhead platforms.

Overview
Hess Denmark ApS, as the operator, and its partners are
developing South Arne Phase 3 located in block 5604/29 in
the Danish sector of the North Sea. The project comprises
of two new Wellhead Platforms (WHPN and WHPE), WHPN
is located approximately 2.1km north of existing South Arne
platform, and WHPE is bridged to the South Arne Platform.
The WHPN accommodates a minimum six wells which are
tied back to the WHPE linked to the existing South Arne
platform via a bridge.

The project uses Subsea 7s bundle system which contains:

10-inch multi phase production flowline, with Inconel
625 clad

6-inch gas lift line and control lines

The bundle will be tied into the wellhead platforms via

spoolpieces, control jumpers and power and fibre
optical cables.

Tie-in

Tie-in was performed in September/October 2012 using the

Seven Pelican. The project is due to be completed in
Q1 2013.
