Professional Accomplishments:

Established The Edge Learning Center while working at the Canton School District. The
learning center served all freshman and sophomore students needing academic assistance
as well as upper class students for whom the teachers requested further help.

Applied for, received and managed a grant while working for Sanford Health. Activities
conducted with the grant monies included organizing and hosting multiple open houses;
assisting in creating and producing a radio ad as well as the various written ad campaigns.
In conjunction with this, I conducted a teen focus group at the local alternative school.

While teaching Responsive Parenting at the Goodwill Industries, I rewrote the curriculum
and added activities to further engage participants. Enrollment increased from less than
three prior to my involvement to the maximum of ten with many returnees.

After attending Art Therapy and Substance Abuse workshop, I integrated art therapy into
the existing program components including the 12-Steps and Interpersonal Topics groups.

During my elementary teaching experience at Triton, I assisted in the development of a

regional self-contained behavioral setting for elementary students.
