AFFIDAVIT OF WITNESS
I, KAREN DIVE, 32, Single, resident of Block 10, Lot 8,
Phase 3, Farville St., Sampaloc, Manila City, after having
sworn in accordance with law, do hereby depose and state
THAT:
1.

I was present and personally saw the remittances

sent by the accused to the victim since the petitioner, asked
me, as her neighbor and childhood friend to get the remittance
on her behalf, because the victim was very busy attending the
needs of her children and was asking for food from her parents
which is 10 kilometers away from their home;

2.

I attested that the accused committed the crime

Anti-Violence Against Women and the Children Act because
the victim always ask a favor from me to check in the
remittance center if the accused has already sent his support
and there was none;

3.

I have also heard the phone calls made by the

accused to the victim when the victim used my cell phone to
contact him pleading for financial support;
04. I have personally seen how the victim have changed
her lifestyle ever since her husband left for abroad to work,
that instead of a promised and well provided life, she was left
devastated and full of debts;

I have also seen the agent from SSS who is always
looking for her to demand the increasing interests of her loan
after the several notices that SSS sent her.
I executed this affidavit to attest the truthfulness of the
foregoing facts and to support the filing of Criminal Cases
against JOEN RIGOR-NICOLAS for violations of Anti-Violence
Against Women and the Children Act.
