The tenant, Twanna Canty, received notice of a rent increase effective August 30, 2016. In a letter to the managers and owners, Canty expresses that the increase is distressing given the state of the economy and events like terrorism and Brexit that have affected her work for a French company. She requests that the owners reconsider the increase, as she has been a good tenant who pays rent on time and has remained in the apartment despite issues like shootings and water shutoffs at the property. Canty hopes the owners will take into account the economy and conditions at the complex in deciding not to raise the rent for this year.

Manager/Owner 6656 Peachtree Industrial Blvd Atlanta, GA 30360 Dear Managers and Owners, Thank you for your recent notice on June 21, 2016, regarding a rent increase on my unit, effective August 30, 2016. I am writing to let you know that this is very sad and distressing news. I work for a French owned company and with all the events of terrorism and Britain pulling out of the EU- we are all being affected this year. We didnt receive our annual COLA cost of living adjustments I have found this apartment comfortable, I am satisfied with the management team, and the maintenance and I plan to continue living here during the next two years. Since I have been a good respectable tenant and primarily always pay my rent on time, I will hope you will take the current state of the economy into account, and be kind enough to reconsider. In addition, since I have been a loyal tenant, and I didnt vacant during the recent shootings into the 6654 building, like the other tenants, have witnessed random acts of violence and disturbance from my neighbors, and been disturbed with the water being randomly shut off in my building without notice several times. I am hoping that you will consider not increasing the rent this year due to the current state of the economy and the continuous depressing events and conditions in the complex. Please advise as soon as possible, and thank you in advance for your consideration. Kindest Regards,
