Please note:
All plans of all case studies will have similar colour coding for easy comparison
Case study comparison table is also to be attached
Drawings: of all case studies at the same scale and with NORTH pointing upwards
All drawings have to be in a similar format. Do not use drawings directly from the source/
internet. You will have to process them yourself in order to achieve this.
iii) Description
These are qualitative observations about the building. Some of the aspects you may talk about
here are :
Construction techniques/ technology
Climate, orientation, human comfort
Quality of space, air, light, ventilation, etc.
Services
Circulation
Materials
Landscaping qualities
Plot size
Location and its suitability
Road frontage/ access
Adjacent users on boundary
Proximity of water body
Contours
Surrounding buildings and population
Public transport
Any other
iv) Analysis
The last column (remarks) from the comparison table will help you here.
Inferences from the qualitative description above
Adequacies/ inadequacies
v) Conclusion
Are all the people involved in the buildings activities satisfied with the way things are?
What alterations would they like being made?
Which of these do you think are justified/ appropriate and can be incorporated in your design
Do you think the architect/ architecture has been successful in achieving the aim of the
organization?

Scope for improvement (this point should directly be seen in your design brief)
