To Whom Tt May Concern:
As a cooperating teacher, I am pleased to write a letter of recommendation for Brittany
Bootka. Thad the privilege of supervising Brittany at Meadow Brook Elementary School, where
she served as student teacher in an ASD basic classroom for upper elementary students. She
demonstrated compassion, empathy, and perseverance as she continually sought out ways to
raise our student's level of performance academically, behaviorally, and socially.
Brittany has many abilities that would make her an asset to any position She demonstrated
professionalism, collaboration skills, and communication, while creating and maintaining
meaningful connections with each student and support staff member with whom she worked
with in our classroom. Brittany exhibits a natural teaching presence when working with
students with Autism and was able to effectively execute all academic, social, and
communication plans that were in place to help promote a positive learning experience for all
students. Brittany demonstrated the ability to plan week-long lesson plans while including the
Michigan Essential Element targets and actively engaging students in academic work tasks.
Through her daily written communication with families, she demonstrated her commitment and
dedication to students as well as to their families,
During her student teaching experience, Brittany not only provided daily academic instruction,
but she was also able to develop her classroom and behavior management skills, Her ability to
problem solve and think outside of the box, provided students with numerous opportunities for
social growth and the development of independent skills, Brittany demonstrated best
instructional practices as she met the diverse needs of the students across academic content
areas. Brittany facilitated a classroom that encouraged students to take risks and evolve as
learners above and beyond their identified area of disability. She guided students to their
ability.
Brittany is a genuine person with the ability to adapt and grow as a professional. She is
reliable, organized, and punctual. Brittany will bring a wealth of ideas, knowledge, and
experience to any position. I would highly recommend Brittany Bootka for a position within your
school district. Please feel free to contact with me with any questions,
Sincerely,
Cay haute)
