Water Treatment Process

What is Electrocoagulation?
EC is an electrochemical process used to:
Generate metallic ions and electrons in contaminated water
Create REDOX reactions to break up emulsions
Destabilize colloids and suspended solids
Adjust pH to precipitate metals
Fe++ or Al++ ions create a stable flocculent mass to:
Allow mechanical removal of contaminants by:
Air floatation, gravity settling or mechanical filtration

Process Benefits

Induces pH swings - usually to neutral

Suspended and colloidal solids
