Please be advised that a break-in was discovered in the SoBow Parkade the morning of
Thursday, July 14, 2016. Several vehicles were found with windows smashed and doors left
open on the Grande House side of the parkade. Several bicycles were also stolen from the
1912 Cross side of the parkade. Please verify that your bicycle(s) are still in the Parkade; if
your bicycle is missing please contact BPM immediately. CPS has suggested that owners
invest in purchasing good quality bike locks.
One of the victims found a box of jewelry in their vehicle. If you are missing jewelry that may
have been left in your vehicle, please contact BPM during regular business hours to identify
the jewelry.
After reviewing surveillance footage, the offenders gained access by tampering with a
lockbox onsite. Lockboxes are installed to provide access for third parties such as emergency
services, utility companies, etc. They are installed in view of the camera for security
purposes.
Photos of the four individuals involved were captured by surveillance footage. If you
recognize any of these individuals, please contact BPM and CPS with details.

Building security is all residents responsibility. Be vigilant in ensuring you allow entry only
to people in your party; do not allow others to follow you into the building entrances or
tailgate into the parkade entrance. Please ensure the parkade door is fully closed behind you
prior to proceeding to your stall.
CPS also reminds residents to ensure windows are closed, vehicles are locked, and all
valuables are removed from your vehicles: including tools, sunglasses, and coins.
If you witness unsavory characters loitering around the building or any other type of
suspicious activity, please contact Calgary Police Service immediately.
