BEACHWOOD, Ohio - The Cleveland area rolled out

the welcome mat to greet thousands of delegates to the
Republican National Convention, many of whom arrived in the state on Sunday, including 250 New Jersey
representatives.
While huge posters with Cleveland factoids decorated buildings in the citys downtown area, the lobby at
the DoubleTree hotel in nearby Beachwood was a whos
who of Garden State Republicans, both luminaries and
folks just along for the ride.
This is the most enthusiasm Ive seen for a campaign since the late 70s and early 80s when there was
energy for Ronald Reagan, said Morris Countys Richard Kamin, a former assemblyman and honorary delegate who is attending his eighth convention.

State and national educators are considering discipline alternatives that

keep students in check without putting them on a poverty or prison track

racia Anastasia was locked out of her high school one cold morning in May,

her feet in flip-flops as she argued with school officials. That was the last
time the 18-year-old Long Branch student said she was allowed to attend
Ocean Academy in Bayville. They didnt even suspend me, said Ana-

stasia, though school officials have called her retelling of the circumstances inaccurate, without going into detail. They just went to straight expelling me, she said.
Elsewhere, on a recent day, Shannon Giddens cried as she hugged her 10-year-old son
Jahsheer on the couch in her Barnegat home. Jahsheer has been blocked from going to

Sometimes the enemy of your enemy is your friend.

Researchers studying the clinging jellyfish invasion
have determined that sea nettles a relatively new
nuisance themselves feed on the dime-sized, Xmarked invertebrate.
It has been so difficult to locate clinging jellyfish
perhaps because they are being picked off by their
larger cousin that Paul Bologna, a jellyfish expert
from Montclair State University, thinks the worst
might be over for 2016.
The numbers are dropping off the map, he told the
Asbury Park Press. We found two last week and we
think we may have found one Wednesday night when
were doing some night sampling. ... My expectation is
that we wont see clinging jellyfish in big numbers until
next year.
