To: All the Parish Priests
As presented and agreed upon in the clergy meeting of 24-25 October 2005 at OMI
Center, the process of the general transfer of assignments among diocesan clergy to commence
on January 2007 will include consultation with parish leaders and willing parishioners by the
members of the personnel board. Aside from the data obtained through survey forms already
accomplished by the clergy, the participation of the parishioners who will be affected by the
transfer is deemed integral. Their opinions and comments will be gathered through the following
questions shared in small groups:
(1) What are the current needs of the parish?
(2) What are your proposed programs and activities to respond to these needs?
(3) Other pertinent issues and observations about the parish you deem significant to consider
prior to the transfer of clergy assignment?
Schedule of consultation is as follows:
November 2005 - January 2006
February - March 2006
April - May 2006
June -July 2006
Upon proper coordination, notice will be sent in advance for the particular schedule of
each parish. It is requested that the vicar forane, instead of the parish priest, observes the process
of the consultation on parishes within his vicariate.
Attached herewith is the proposed announcement to be read during masses of the
particular parish at least two weeks before the scheduled consultation.
