Tie a knot to keep the thread {rom coming all the way through the texto, . 2, coming up trough the tertile ourlace, pick up sx sed beads (ot the desired size], lay them flat against the tertile, and go back dows through the surface right oe after the sixth bead. Travel through boads 4, 5, and 6 again, and now you ate ready to add sic new beads and repeat the proces again and again. Here's a great knot for bead embroidery. Form_a sip knot with the tail of your ‘thread. Then pass the tail through the |oog and pull it to tighten the knot. This knot is large enough so that it won't pull through the fextle when you take the ‘iret etitch. oa ib) Stitch 2: Basic Peyote Stitch Although you can always use fewer than six beads each time, six beads is about the maximum number you can use without the fabric buckling. This technique can be used to embroider straight lines, curls, curves, and any sort af line drawing. After you have secured your inital rows, go back and pass through the beads a second, third, and even fourth time with your thread to help stabilize anc neaten the rows (b), Peyote sutch hastts ongins in Native American and ancient Egypuian culures, among others.
