To Whom It May Concern:

It is a distinct pleasure to recommend Adam Parkinson as a candidate for a teacher in
your school district. I have known Adam for two years. During that time, he has
distinguished himself as a dedicated and motivated student of education and an excellent
public servant. In addition, Adam has demonstrated a mature, well-organized approach to
life and living. As his teacher and informal advisor, I feel well qualified to make these
comments.
Adam seems to think and act on the notion that whatever he does is essentially rewarding
and potentially significant. He has also demonstrated the ability to conduct his
educational and personal life in a goal-directed manner. Throughout his stay at the
University, he surpassed the acceptable norms and actually reached a truly ideal level of
performance and dependability. Adam has also demonstrated the courage to express his
opinions on controversial issues both in class and in public forums. He is articulate and
an insightful thinker and a one-of-a-kind individual.
Adams outlook on life spills over into his work. He is serious, intelligent, honest and
fair. His character is evidenced in all that he does and will continue to imbue his spirit
with unique fortitude. His rapport with students and peers stems from his innate respect
and understanding of them. My sons are grown men today, but if they were younger it
would have been my pleasure to have Adam as their teacher. I dont know what higher
praise one can bestow on his student.
His experience, credentials and attitude are a sorely needed combination in a world in
which we are losing qualified educators as rapidly as shoreline in New Jersey.
I gladly make my recommendation without reservation.
Sincerely,
Joseph McLaughlin
