Theres the fox in the wood!

THE SECOND CLASSES
OF THE JUNIOR SCHOOL

In a thick wood, not so different from many

others, the fox has reigned - indisturbed - for
a long time.

She isn't such a

kind animal and
she doesn't think
the others could
keep up with her
self; in fact they
are actually forced
to be
subjugated
by her, to get her
the best food, to
fan her with a very
big leaf during the
sunny summer
afternoons or to
make
her a comfortable
bedding during
the cold winters.

Everyone is afraid of her, especially the last

arrived, towards which she is really cruel. Her
favourite victim has recently been the Black Cat.

The most successful jokes she's been playing on him

are: tying the pine cones at his tail, knotting his
moustache in strange shapes or throw sudden and
unexpected streams of water. After many of these
vexations, the Black Cat decides to escape from the
wood.

After having seen the scene from a tree the

wise Owl
understands ime has come to intervene

While stopping
the cat, he tries
to take off, but
being such an
old bir, he falls
down on the
path in front
of the cat.
He stands up,
puts himself
together and
says:
you can't
escape
from your
problems, be
brave and
face the
problem!".

In the wood news runs quickly,

in fact everybody
immediately gets to know about the cat's escape. Tired
and exasperated the animals decide to join and face
the Fox. They go to her and tell her they are suffering
and that she doesn't have their friendship, but just
their fear. The Owl says:remember, friends come
whenever you need them, but as you don't have any,
you'll be alone soon"

The Fox listens to him carefully, she looks around

and immediately understands the Owl is right. She
decides to change her behaviour and she
becomes the most loved animal in the forest.
