Note:

Elaborate your literature review by synthesizing related theories and


research findings
Remember that it is not similar to making a list
Combine the use of textbooks and research articles/journals
proportionally (no Indonesian sources)
Use appropriate reporting verbs and try to use transitional
signals accordingly
Elaborate your literature review in paragraphs. Avoid using pointers
such as bullets and numbers.

research is quantitative or qualitative in nature
Mention the nature of the purpose whether it is explorative, descriptive, or
explanative
If you use any specific design, mention the label of the design (e.g. a case
study, a critical discourse analysis framed by .theories)

Mention what the data will be like. Are the data in the forms of articles,
conversation transcript, advertisement texts, poems, short stories, etc.?
Explain how you will collect the data. Elaborate the procedure step by step
Give justification on why you select certain data for your study

purposes of using them

Data Analysis

It explains the steps you take after the data are collected
Do not talk about how the data are collected in this section!
If you use specific framework or theories in your data analysis, explain it
comprehensively.
Elaborate the steps in analyzing data one by one by referring to your Research
Questions. Move from the first question to the last one.
DO NOT USE POINTERS. Use paragraphs and appropriate time signals.

Write down all the sources you use.


Use APA 6th edition style of citing and referencing.
If you use less than 12 sources, 10 point reduction from your proposal
mark will apply.
