Congratulations! It gives me great pleasure to confirm that you have won the Alpha Lambda Delta Mary
Jane Stevenson Graduate Fellowship in the amount of $5,000 for the 2016-2017 academic year. Chairman Dr.
Mike Nichols and his committee had high praise for the outstanding Alpha Lambda Delta members who
applied, stating that applicants were strong in both the number of honors received and participation in
quality activities. Congratulations on being selected as one of the 24 fellowship winners from this national
competition.
Each graduate fellowship is named for a person of significance to Alpha Lambda Delta. The Mary Jane
Stevenson Fellowship honors a woman who served as Dean of Women at Albright College and Westminster
College, prior to going to Bucknell University in 1947 as Dean of Women. Ms. Stevenson retired in July, 1981
after serving for ten years as the Executive Director of National Alpha Lambda Delta.
To accept this fellowship and to ensure the speedy processing of your award monies, you need to submit
the following information at http://tinyurl.com/2016FellowshipRecipient no later than August 1, 2016:

Your contact information, including the best way to reach you on or after August 15, 2016.
The name of the graduate institution you will be attending as soon as you have made your final
decision. Additionally, we will need your new Student ID Number at this institution. This will
need to be placed on the checks to ensure the monies are applied to the correct student
account.
The FEIN (Employer Identification Number) of the institution you will be attending. This
information is necessary as it is part of our reporting requirements to the IRS. You can find this
information at the Business Office or Financial Aid Office. Advise them this is the same number
they would show on IRS Form W-9. It is NOT the school code or ID number. If they do not want
to release this information to you, they may email it to me or contact us directly at 585.364.0840.
Mailing address of the Student Billing or Financial Aid Office. The fellowship checks will be
mailed in two payments. The first check will be mailed in mid-August and the second check will
be mailed in early January of next year.
Verification of your enrollment for the fall semester/term of 2016. This verification may be a
letter from your academic department or the Registrar, a copy of your class schedule, or your
tuition invoice. Be sure your full name and institution are visible on the enrollment verification.
A head shot photograph suitable for publication for The Flame (magazine). Digital images with a
resolution of 1.2 megapixels (300 dpi) or greater.

These steps must be completed by August 1, 2016 before your first check can be released to your
institution. Failure to meet the deadline of August 1, 2016 may result in a delay in the release of your
fellowship funds. Once each check has been released, you will receive a confirmation letter. If you have any
