Title

: First week at SK Alam Damai.

We start our first day of practicum on 4 th February 2015. This is because on

Monday and Tuesday, 2nd and 3rd February 2015 the school were having holiday. On the first
day, my partner and I introduce ourselves to the GPK of SK Alam Damai which is Mr. Mohd
Rizan Bin Hj. Baba. We gave him our identification letter from our institute. Then, he brief us
about the school. He talks about the custom of the teacher in this school and the principle
that they hold on to. He then continue by telling us about the background of the students. He
remind us that we should always consider the background of our students to guide us on
how are we going to treat them. We were not given any specific class that we will be
teaching in the morning. However, to help us understand the students in the school we were
given relief class which we will be teaching for the day.
In the afternoon, we had our second meeting with the GPK to further
discussed about the class that we will be teaching. However, we were not given the
placement yet as the teacher in charge was not around for the day. Nevertheless, we were
given the co-curricular activities that we will involved with. Later that afternoon, we help the
students practice for their upcoming sports day.
On the second day, we were given relief class since we still did not received
our timetable. We also met our co-operating teacher, Mrs. Wong Swee Fang. She expose us
on the task of an English teacher. Moreover, she also showed us some of the books that will
be helpful to us in our teaching. She also showed us some of the teaching aids that we can
used to help us in our teaching and learning process.
On the third day, we met our co-operating teacher for our minor subject which
is RBT, Mr. Ayob Bin Rashid. He gave us our timetable. He also lend us the textbook for us
to refer on. On the same day, we also had the opening ceremony for the Malay Language
Month that were officiated by the headmistress.
