Reflection

Since my partner and I were not given the specific class for us to teach
yet thus we relief some classes. Today I only had one relief class which is 6 Nilam for
two periods. Later in the afternoon, my partner and I met the teacher that will be
guiding us during our practicum for the three month, Mrs. Wong Swee Fang. She
explained to us regarding the class placement. She mentioned that each of us will
have to teach two different classes from different level. This is to expose us on how
we should accommodate to the students need. It is important for us to learn as much
as we can during this practicum as this is our last practicum. Therefore, she advised
us to explore as much as we can so that we can gain more experience that will be
helpful in the future. Moreover, she also showed us some of the reference book that
will be helpful for us in designing the classroom activities later on. She also showed
some of the teaching aids that we can used to help make our teaching and learning
process interesting and meaningful. In addition, she also exposed us to some of the
duty that we will carry out as a future teacher. Looking at her experience, again I
realised that being a teacher was not an easy work. There are too many things that
need to be taken into consideration. The most important thing that we should always
bear in mind is whether the students manage to digest all the knowledge that we had
taught them. This is because it would not matter whether we will be able to finish the
syllabus earlier or whether we done all the activity inside the activity book, it is
always important to take not our students understanding of the knowledge whether
they can apply it in their daily life or real world situation.
