Innovative Solutions to the current problems

Need to use analytics in the current systems .E.G Use of barcode systems can bring overhauling change in
the warehousing and distribution systems.

Need for database marketing; a long-term, data-driven strategy that helps marketers identify whos
interested in a particular offer at a particular time. Also by data appending and enhancement we can
divide them into geographies and link them to expected weather patterns.

has the potential to make a larger purchase, and pin point the attributes of our best customers so you can
find more just like them.

1.

Need to access data : There is need to collaborate with the state governmental bodies and
with private third party players to source and to enhance data. Using Government and 3rd
party infrastructure resources can be beneficial for all the parties

The application should provide support of regional languages .

Human Resource: Currently the extension workers have a very high turnover rates .there is a
need for a strong training programs for the workers as well as educating the farmers about
the system in a proper learning environment at regular intervals .

Credit facilities: To expand the current user base the farmers can be given facilities like
getting access to credit related facilities through mobile app

It should be customizable solution and not a one size fits all so that it can be modified later
according to the geographies.

Dealing with the trust issues. Focus should be on building trust between the farmer and the
supplier .The relationship between agricultural entrepreneurs and their suppliers is very
personal.

Cost might be an issue. There are existing APIs in Microsoft dynamic but an open source
supplier which is android based can also be considered if it is cost effective and can be
dynamically updated.

Area for catering to total requirement: 30,864 hectares
Average landholding size: 1.16 ha

Considering ABC caters to 25% of the total


Farmers involved: 500-1000
Taking average: 750
Employees needed: 250

Assumptions
In this case we are assuming that there are 5 regional
managers and under each regional manager there will be
3 field officers .Our goal is to give a final cost quote per
regional manager and overall.
We would be estimating the cost of a cloud based solution
due to long term profitability and scalability. It even helps
the firm in reducing costs in terms of hardware and
maintenance.
We would be contacting the same firm for the mobility and
ERP solutions. GIS system can be bought from a 3rd party.
The contract would include the training of our staff as well.
