The Supreme Court has accepted major recommendations of Lodha Committee on reforms in
BCCI(BoardofControlforCricketinIndia),theworldsrichestcricketingbody.
The committee had submitted its recommendations to Supreme Court in January 2016. The
committee was constituted by SC to bring structural reforms in the country after it had come
under the scanner for its opaque functioning and conflict of interests among its top office
bearers.

Barring ministers and civil servants and those above 70 years of age from
becomingBCCImembers.AnofficebearerofBCCIcannotholdapostformore
thanthreeyears.
ParliamenttodecidewhetherBCCIshouldcomeundertheRighttoInformation
Act(RTI).ThereshouldbeaplayersassociationintheBCCI
Disallowing BCCI officebearer from holding dual posts simultaneously i.e. in a
statecricketassociationandintheBCCI.
Only to team representing the respective states. Each state should have only
onevote.
Member of the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) to be included in the
BCCIsgoverningcouncil.
