Complaint: Bad Service
It is now three weeks since I placed the order for The Worldwide Encyclopedia to your sales
executive, Mr. Nigel Westwood and I am still waiting for it.
I have complained it directly to Mr. Westwood, but he replied that your company is able to
deliver my order by the end of next month. It is absolutely different with the agreement that
when he visited me, he guaranteed delivery within one week of my order. His email of 23
August also confirmed this.
I should like to remind you that I have already paid 50% of the total cost. I must insist,
therefore, that you deliver the order immediately.
Unless I hear from you within three days, I hope you will warn him about legal action.

8.9 A reply and an apology


What has happened to her deposit?
I think she will not get the order and/or her money back. The director of Universal Books Ltd
told her that Nigel Westwood was no longer working for the company, and he could not find
the record of the money that she have paid to Westwood. It seemed that she was deceived by
Nigel Westwood.
