Presidents Notes:

I hope everyone has been able to stay cool

this summer! In May members met to stuff
race bags in lieu of a monthly meeting.
Members and their families worked hard
on our Running with the Dogs 5K. Thank
you to all those that helped or got sponsors
for this event! (See page 2 for pictures)
In June there was a Mexican Pearl Night
social at The Pearl Girls and GFWC
Convention in Baltimore, MD, (see page 3

for pictures) Deborah and I ate our weight

in crab at the Junior fun night and crab
feast. We also worked on the service project
during the Sisterhood of Service luncheon,
making bags of food and toiletries for the
homeless. We visited all the GFWC Partner
tables and attended the Junior business
session. Sandy was installed as our State
Junior Director!
In July your board met and went over our
Calendar for the year. (See page 5)

Home Life is Where the Heart is-

~Quilt for Kids (Q4K)- This is our District Presidents Project

and we are working with the Oconee Senior Center on the
first Wednesday of the month at 10am to help create quilts for
children in Athens-Oconee Regional Hospital. Please come
help if you can! (See page 5 for more info)

~Ovarian Cancer Awareness-

This is our new

State Junior project and the inspiration for our table
decorations for the breakfast we are hosting at
institute! Sandy has an awesome speaker for the
meeting, so you dont want to miss it!

Fill in your name and personal info on page 8.
Voting Delegates- President and one per 25 members (normally a board
member)
Check if it is your first time attending.
Check the box next to Registration.
Check the meal functions you plan to attend (unless you received an
invitation you will not need to go to dinner Friday).
Fill out your payment information on the bottom.
