Third conditionals

Something that was possible to happen in the past but didnt


if+ had+ past practicable+ would/could/might/may have+ past practicable:
examples: if I had seen him at the party I would have said hi (but I didnt)
we would have get there on time if we had left earlier (but we are late now)
if we had left earlier we would have get there on time (but we are late now)
(note: as you can see we can use these structure in both forms)
if we had touched the deadly snake. It might have attacked us (but fortunately it didnt)

wishes
present: wish+ could/was/were:
I wish I could speak Latin, I wish it was sunny today,
Past: wish+ had+ past practicable:
I wish I had had enough money to travel New York when I was younger
