STATE ROUTE 58 ONE WAY TRAFFIC CONTROL

THIS SATURDAY IN KERN COUNTY
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will conduct one-way traffic control
on State Route 58 between Palomas Road and Meadow Street in Buttonwillow for roadway
striping operations.
The following lane closures will be as follows, weather permitting:

One-way traffic control on SR 58 between Palomas Road and Meadow Street in

Buttonwillow on Saturday, July 30th from 5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. All traffic through
Buttonwillow will be directed to Buttonwillow Drive. A detour utilizing 7 th Standard Road to
the north of Buttonwillow will be available.

Caltrans personnel will be conducting one way traffic control during this time with the
use of flagging personnel and a pilot vehicle to escort traffic through the work zone.
Commuters are reminded to obey flagging personnel, stay behind the pilot vehicle
and pay close attention to road maintenance vehicles.
These closures may continue for longer periods of time if necessary, due to delays
caused by uncontrollable events that may occur during maintenance. This work is
scheduled to take place, weather permitting. Motorists may experience delays and are
encouraged to take alternate routes whenever possible.
Caltrans would like to thank commuters for their continued patience throughout this
construction project. Please be alert for construction personnel and remember to
Slow for the Cone Zone.
