Desk, Wall and Stand Fan.
2. Familiarize with the basic parts.
3. Learn how to troubleshoot and replaced worn-out parts.
II. Experimental Items:
1. Continuity testing.
2. Resistant measurement on speed # 1, 2 & 3
3. Capacitor check-up.
4. Thermal overload check-up.
III. Resources:
1. Electric Fan
2. Multi Tester (Analog or Digital)
3. Soldering Iron
4. Soldering Lead
5. Soldering Paste
6. Screw Driver both flat and philip
7. Electrical Plier
8. Mechanical Plier
9. Long Nose Plier
10. Cutter Plier, Splicer or Blade
11. Small Ballpin hammer
12. Electrical Tape
13. Connecting Cord or Wire
IV. Procedures:
1. Disassemble the ff:
a. Fan cover and Blade
b. Motor cover and speed control cover.
2. Test the continuity of the ff: using your Multi Tester
a. Power line circuit.
b. Winding connection
c. Thermal over load - further testing upon disassembly
d. Capacitor
3. Check free rotation of shafting by:
a. If stuck-up wont rotate.
b. Difficulty on rotating the shaft.
c. Loose Shafting.
4. Disassemble the motor then;
a. Check shafting for traces of worn-out portion.
b. Further test on Thermal overload can be done.
c. Check for other worn-out parts such as spacers, bushing,
swing mechanism.

5. Replace all busted, worn-out parts, afterwards conducts testing

again as done on procedure # 2, then assemble back by ensuring
balance assembly that the rotor or shafting will rotate freely.
6. If everything is done right, plug in to power supply and your fan ready
for use again.
