The table shows the percentages of national consumer expenditure by
different category in the year 2002.Overall, most of the countries spend more in
food, drink and tobacco category than clothing and footwear also leisure and
education categories.
Turkey hold the most percentages of national consumer expenditure in
food ,drink , tobacco , leisure and education categories which are 32.14% and
4.35%.Besides that, almost all of the countries has small percentages on national
consumer expenditure for leisure and education category which are around 4.35%
to 2.21%. Other than that, Sweden is the only country that has low percentages of
national consumer expenditure in clothing and footwear category than other
countries which is 15.77% and 5.40%. Furthermore, for leisure and education
category Spain hold the least percentage of national consumer expenditure in
leisure and education category by 1.98%. While Italy is the only country which lead
the percentage of national consumer expenditure in clothing and footwear category
which is 9.00%.
As a conclusion, not all of the listed countries have high percentages of
national consumer expenditure in any category except for Italy and Turkey.
