1. Briefly summarize the plot of the novel.(3-5 sentences)
King Belgarion travels to the land of the murgos to pursue Zandramass, and his
baby. They encounter the king of the land and they end up taking him in to their
party and their quest. However, King Zakath had tricked the king and was now
about to decimate his army. The king leaves to warn his troops and the quest moves
on. They are uncovered by Zakaths army and were escorted to his presence. Then
the party is put in locked rooms so they cant escape. The novel ends here.
2. What is the main conflict and what type of conflict is it? (man v. ?)
Man vs man because Zandramass is trying to become the first disciple of an evil new
god and the party is trying to stop her.
3. What is the climax of the story?
When the group is stopped by the imperial soldiers and
escorted to the palace.

4. How does the novel end?


When the solider tells the group that the orders came directly from the imperial
throne.

They all become more cautious because they are almost always in dangerous
situations.

The story takes place in mountains, forests, deserts, and plains.
The story is timeless but if you put it on a timeline scale, it looks to be around 1450.
I came to that conclusion because they have carts and carriages but they have no
trains or planes or anything that is considered modern.

novel. Tell why the author may have chosen to use this element. (foreshadowing,
irony, point of view, symbolism, flashback, imagery, allusion)

The author uses foreshadowing to hint that there will be some sort of event
tomorrow. He chose that element because when you say it like that it sounds better
than saying There will be stuff happening tommorow,ee so sleep.
